Spinal Correction
“Spinal Correction? You can correct the spine?”
We often hear this when we talk about spinal correction. And we are here to set the record straight. YES! You can correct the spine. And here is the formula:
Specific Chiropractic Adjustments based on an Exam and X-rays

Correction and/or Progress towards a More Ideal Spinal Structure for Optimal Bodily Function
So why does this matter? Because what we’ve seen and experienced is that STRUCTURE often determines FUNCTION. What does that mean? Well ideally, the spine is straight from the front/back. And from the side, it should have three, 45 degree curves in the neck, mid back, and low back. This structure not only allows for absorption of physical stress/trauma from such things like car accidents, sport injuries, falls, and even gravity. But more importantly, this structure allows for the most optimal nerve supply that flows to the rest of our body…our cells, organs, and tissues, allowing our body to perform and function as it was intended or designed to function.
However, when we leave the stress or trauma undetected or uncorrected for long enough, the body and spine will ultimately compensate, meaning the spine will start to take shape in a way that is repetitive with your life and lifestyle. For example, there is a relatively new medical term called “text neck”. This refers to the straightening or loss of curve in the cervical (neck) region of the spine due to our modern day lifestyle of being bent over on a phone or computer. The loss of this curve is significant because this region has nerves that are responsible for going to organs such as eyes, ears, heart, lungs, stomach, small intestine…and these nerves are responsible for functions of the body such as heart rate, blood pressure, ear drainage, sleep, energy, digestion, so on and so forth. Now imagine putting pressure on these nerves flowing to those organs, similar to a kink in a water hose. Are those organs and the functions they perform working at 100% or less than 100%? The answer is simple: they are working at LESS THAN 100%. Therefore, those organs and your overall body/health is functioning at less than 100%.
Now some people might think of that and say, “I don’t feel anything. I don’t have symptoms. I must be fine.” Here’s the thing, HEALTH is not just the absence of disease. Health is how well your body is functioning and healing at any given moment. This is why you can’t always judge your health by the way you feel. It is only a matter of time before those symptoms set in. And yes, it might be weeks, months, years, or even decades before the symptoms appear and your health starts to fail, but nonetheless, it is only a matter of time before the body starts talking. And when it does, it is not wise to simply put a bandage over the symptom. That’s like putting a piece of tape over the “check engine” light in your car. These symptoms and signs are the body communicating that there is something or many things malfunctioning in the body. And it is far easier (and cheaper in the end) to “course correct” upon onset, than it is to hold off and have it accumulate with more problems and bigger problems.
So all that to say, this is why we look at the structure of your spine. The structure gives us a better idea of how well your body is functioning and healing overall. And by correcting the spine to a more ideal position, the nerves are better able to communicate and the body is better able to function at a high level! And that is when you start experiencing true health and healing.
